Eerste afbeelding van een extrasolaire planeet

Gisteren werd in alle stilte geschiedenig geschreven toen de eerste foto van een extrasolaire planeet werd gepubliceerd. Het planeetje op de foto draait (naar alle waarschijnlijkheid) om de ster 1RXS J160929.1-210524, 500 lichtjaar hier vandaan.

Sounds like there's some work to be done here still proving it's a planet to the community. Definitely a sleeper though.
