RoundUp is veilig verklaard. Dat is voor ondermeer sojaboeren goed en slecht nieuws. Soja is namelijk een nogal week vegetarisch plantje, dat zich makkelijk laat overwoekeren en niet tegen wieden kan. Dus als je soja genetisch manipuleert zodat het tegen RoundUp kan, dan kun je de hele bende platspuiten, en blijft alleen de soja staan. RoundUp is blijkbaar veilig voor zoogdieren zoals mensen. Het nare zit hem in de constructies waarmee RoundUp producent Monsanto de zaden aanbiedt, met leasecontracten, b.v. Gelukkig heeft de EU zichzelf onder meer in het handelsverdrag met de Oekraine verboden om octrooien toe te staan op planten en dieren. Daarmee is het werkelijke nare aspect van Monsanto ingedamd.

Vegetariërs met een EU-fobie zullen zo verward zijn... of nee wacht, die gaan hierin lezen dat de EU -zie je wel- pro-Monsanto is.
