First off,

I wanted to say thank you so much for providing that driver; it works perfectly when my Samsung ML-1520 is connected directly via USB. However, I primarily (would like to) use the printer when shared over a network and connected to a Windows PC. I have a 12 Powerbook G4, whereas the Windows PC is a desktop and we just keep the printer plugged in to that.

The issue is this. When I tried adding the Samsung printer while it was connected directly via USB to my Powerbook, the driver was found with no problems, and I simply selected it from the drop-down box. When I try to add the printer while it is connected to the Windows PC, I can find it without any problems (dont even need Samba), but the Printer Model drop-down box only has the usual customers, i.e. a generic Postscript driver and the usual included drivers. I have also been able to locate a PPD file for the Samsung ML-1520 and to manually select this PPD when selecting the Other option from the drop-down box, but it is the Samsung ML-1520 SPLII version, and it does not print when added with this PPD.

I have tried finding the PPD file being used with your supplied drivers which allow the Samsung to print when it is directly connected via USB, but have been unable to find it. Is there a stock location in which I should find it? What file-name should I be looking for (I have tried several options but have been unable to find it)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Hugo
